Trip Description
Journey to Vermont for a unique experience! Spend some time today learning about the distilling process at Vermont Distillers. Although best known for their Metacalfe’s line of liqueurs, they also make Catamount vodkas and are working on more hard spirits. Hear about the product, participate in a tour, and enjoy a tasting. Your journey today may even bring you to the Hogback Mountain Scenic Overlook where you might get a glimpse at the famous 100 mile view.

This afternoon we will visit Honora Winery and Vineyards, in Jacksonville, VT. Here you can enjoy a ‘Vine to Wine’ tour where you will have a tour of the vineyards learning the grape growing and wine making processes. This tour will be partially outside (on terrain that may be uphill and/or uneven). In addition, whet your palate with a tasting of Honora’s fine wines. Lunch will also be served here. Today’s lunch will be a buffet that consists of traditional Polish dishes. The menu will include: Beet Barszcz (Soup), Cucumbers in Sour Cream, Pierogi (with Various Fillings), Kluski (Noodles), Zawijane Zrazy (Stewed Meat), Golabki (Stuffed Cabbage Rolls), Kapusta (Sauerkraut), Babka (Sweet Bread), and Dessert.

We’ll also visit the Grafton Village Cheese Company. Here you will experience the art of Vermont cheese making. If you can catch them on the right day, you can watch the cheese making process, or watch a short video on the process. Eat your way through the store as you tempt your taste buds with the various cheeses that they sell.
