Class Description
  • We will cover tonal drawing, including graphite, charcoal, and crayons. Negative drawing on black paper as well as everything from still life to figure drawing.

Instructor's Bio:
  • Bachelor of Fine Arts anticipated from Charter Oak College (December 2016). Local artist, muralist, and instructor that has been teaching drawing and painting in the Farmington Valley for 15+ years.
  • Worked in Florence, Italy, doing art restoration, oil painting, murals and decorative painting for residents and commercial businesses throughout the northeast.

Materials Needed:
  • Participants should purchase the following:
  • - Pencils - different types (2b, 3b, 4b, etc.)
  • - Eraser - gum type
  • - Sharpener
  • - Drawing paper (any type and size)
  • Students may instead choose to buy these supplies in one "drawing package" from an art supply store.
