Group Hiking for Adults!
NEW – Join hike leaders Tom and Norm for a fun, stress-free group hike on May 15th at Fisher Meadows (Rain date May 22nd). This program is a teaser for our new Group Hiking Series that will be starting in the fall. If it is your goal to spend more time outdoors – this program is for you! This hiking group is the perfect opportunity to explore/learn about Avon’s parks & hiking trails, advance your hiking skills, and hike with great company. All levels welcomed. Hike leaders Tom and Norm will teach the basics to all new hikers! Hikes will be led at a social pace.
Wear comfortable clothing and sturdy sneakers or hiking boots if you have them. Hiking poles are encouraged. Bring water and a mask.
Masks will be required when not 6ft apart. Please plan on wearing a mask for the initial meet-up. There will be opportunity to remove masks while socially distancing once hike begins.
Location: Fisher Meadows Recreation Area
Directions: 787 Old Farms Rd Avon, CT *please use this address as there are multiple park entrances for Fisher Meadows (parking lot with roundabout).
Time: Meet at 9am! Hike will likely run about an hour and a half to two hours
Length: 3 miles
