Anime Art for Gr. 5-8

Calling all anime and magna enthusiasts! Whether you are looking to advance your drawing skills or are a beginner looking to learn how to draw anime-style caricatures, this program is for you! Art instructor Sofia will walk you through step-by-step how to design/draw original anime characters. The last class will include a pizza party to reward students for their hard work and a mini showcase to show off their final designs!
Supplies needed: Faber Castell wooden pencils or Staedtler Mars pencils, a fine line eraser, and a mixed media sketchbook. Optional: inking pens (gel,ballpoint, etc)

Sofia Oyola Morales - Sofia is a UCONN student currently studying art education. She has previously instructed middle school and high school students in anime-styled drawing in various art clubs and continues to participate in similar groups at UCONN.
