eScout Academy believes STEM is something all children and students should have the opportunity to be involved with and enjoy in a fun and creative environment. We encourage students to build beyond 21st century skills like collaboration, communication, critical system thinking, and emotional and cognitive skills.

These are virtual programs.
Time: 5:30 - 6:30 p.m.

Participants will need a laptop or tablet. Headphones are optional.


Animation and Development Games Level 1 for Gr. 2-3
Session 1: Mondays, January 22 - March 18, 2024 (No class on 02/19)
Session 2: Mondays, April 22 - June 17, 2024 (No class on 05/27)

Fees: Residents: $132.00; Non-Residents: $145.20

An introduction to the basics of science and physical computing, game building, and Lego robotics concepts in a fun and easy way. In Animation and Develop Games Level 1, students will be introduced to code puzzles, express and apply computing steps, and build and play with code blocks. 


Animation and Development Games Level 2 for Gr. 3-4
Session 1: Wednesdays, January 24 - March 20, 2024 (No class on 02/21) 
Session 2: Wednesdays, April 24 - June 12, 2024 

Fees: Residents: $132.00; Non-Residents: $145.20

An introduction to the basics of science and physical computing, game building, and Lego robotics concepts in a fun and easy way. In Animation and Develop Games Level 2, students will develop foundational skills in computing using block-based code and build games using sequencing, loops, and conditionals concepts.


Animation and Development Games Level 3 for Gr. 3-4
Session 1: Tuesdays, January 23 - March 19, 2024 (No class on 02/20)
Session 2: Tuesdays, April 23 - June 11, 2024

Fees: Residents: $152.00; Non-Residents: $167.20

An introduction to the basics of science and physical computing, game building, and Lego robotics concepts in a fun and easy way. In Animation and Develop Games Level 3, students will develop foundational thinking skills in computing by exploring block-based code, creating maze games, and debugging concepts. Students will build single and multi-player arcade and sport games using cover-repeat-until, conditionals, loops, and data/mathematical operator concepts.


Develop Games using Python Level 1 for Gr. 5-8
Session 1: Tuesdays, January 23 - March 19, 2024 (No class on 02/20)
Session 2: Tuesdays, April 23 - June 11, 2024

Fees: Residents: $152.00; Non-Residents: $167.20

An introduction to the basics of science and physical computing and game building concepts in a fun and easy way. In Develop Games using Python Level 1, students will be introduced to foundational computing skills, transitions from blocks to simple code, animation basics, and interactive games.
