Welcome to Mahjong for Beginners!
Join the craze! Learn the basics of American Mahjong. It’s fun, challenging and social. We will focus on naming the tiles, reading and understanding the card, categories, choosing a hand and the rules of the game. There will be 4 sessions and it is IMPORTANT to attend all sessions. Each session we will cover: recognizing and naming tiles, learning the different categories on the card, passing and calling for tiles, how jokers are used, how to pick a hand from the card and how to switch hands.
