In partnership with the Avon Girls Travel Basketball program - Join us - the Avon Travel & Avon Rec community - on Wednesday 12/17 for UConn vs. Marquette Women's Basketball Game @ 7:00pm!
Limited spots available. Please only register if you have a child in the Recreation Basketball League.
- $30/ticket, purchase a ticket for each person you are bringing (note how many Rec or Travel players are attending)
- Note: if you have both a travel and rec player, please note in your comments. You may pay for tickets via either program, but NOT BOTH. Contact 860-409-4332 if you have questions.
- Players & coaches will participate the baseline buddies experience & photo opportunity (as players come out to the court for the national anthem)
- Each team will be seated together within the group block
- The Department will advertise ticket pickup times at the Rec office soon
Here's what to expect on game day:
- 5:30PM: Doors open at PeoplesBank Arena - please plan your departure time from Avon accordingly to aim to arrive by 6:00PM to ensure you can park, get thru security, find seats and purchase any gear/food etc. to get settled prior to experience.
- 6:30PM: Ensure you are back in seats by 6:30PM! An escort will meet us to walk the players and coaches only down to the court for the baseline buddies experience. After the UConn coaches come out, our Avon players will head onto the court along the baseline under the hoop for the national anthem. After the anthem, we will escort the team back up to their seats. All other family members remain in the seat block or best position nearby to snap pics. PLEASE DO NOT MISS THE EXPERIENCE BY ARRIVING TO SEATS AFTER 6:30PM.
- 7:00PM: Tipoff for UConn Women vs. Marquette - enjoy the game!
